We believe that true progress comes from embracing differences — whether in gender, race, age, nationality, culture, education, or lived experience. By embracing diverse perspectives, we unlock fresh ideas and deliver better results for our customers. As we grow, we remain committed to fostering an inclusive environment and continuously expanding the positive impact of our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across every level of the organization.
At UCS, we are committed to creating a fair and inclusive environment where all individuals have access to the same opportunities. We believe equity goes beyond simple equality — it's about recognizing and addressing systemic barriers so that everyone has what they need to succeed. We actively promote equal opportunity in hiring, development, and advancement, guided by merit, integrity, and potential. Through continuous learning, inclusive policies, and transparent practices, we strive to build a workplace where every team member can grow, contribute, and thrive with confidence.

Acknowledgement of Country and People
We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands across Victoria, honouring the Aboriginal clans and their enduring connection to Country, culture, and community. With deep respect, we honour the Elders past and present, whose wisdom and guidance have shaped the standards and values we strive to reflect in our work. Their leadership continues to inspire and shape UCS's commitment to deliver its services with integrity, and respect.
Preventing and Responding to Discrimination
Addressing discrimination at its roots requires a proactive and inclusive approach that fosters respect, equity, and accountability within the workplace. At UCS, we are committed to implementing clear anti-discrimination policies, providing regular training to raise awareness, and promoting a culture where diversity is genuinely valued. Should any incidents arise, UCS ensures there are confidential reporting mechanisms and a fair, timely response process to address concerns effectively. By upholding a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, we aim to create a safer, more supportive and more productive environment for all members of our team.
Ensuring a Child Labour-Free Workplace
UCS strictly prohibits the use of child labour in any form. We uphold the rights of all children to be protected from economic exploitation and from performing any work that may interfere with their education, health, or development.
In accordance with The Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), Child Employment Act 2003 (VIC) and ILO Conventions No. 138 (Minimum Age) and No. 182 (Worst Forms of Child Labour), our stance is not only legal but ethical — we believe every child has the right to learn, play, and grow in a safe environment.
Our Commitment to Protecting Children
- We do not employ any person below the legal minimum working age.
- We monitor and audit our suppliers to ensure they do not engage in child labour.
- We work to remove and remediate any instances of child labour found in our operations or supply chain.
